I've always been drawn to adventure
The wild call of nature has always been a part of me. Here on Kaua'i, the ocean became my muse. Every morning, as I watched the sun dance across the waves, I knew I had to capture this magic – not just the visual beauty, but the energy, the healing, the pure life force of water.

Connection with the Ocean
Each piece begins where the waves meet the shore in Kaua'i. Here, I study the dance of light on water, the rhythmic patterns, the way sunlight transforms the sea from serene to ethereal.
Sculptural Beginning
Using clay from the earth, I carefully sculpt each ripple and wave formation. This becomes the foundation for capturing water's fluid movement - every curve and crest intentionally shaped to mirror the ocean's natural flow.
The Alchemy of Layers
First, I paint the wooden panel to create that sense of infinite depth you see in deep waters. Then comes the magic of transformation - carefully alchemizing resin with pearlescent acrylic inks until they capture that translucent quality of water. Some pieces are adorned with black pearls and freshwater pearls from the Philippines or seashells from Hawaii adding another dimension of ocean treasure.
Fire's Touch
Like the sun on the sea, I use fire to perfect each piece - thinning the resin, releasing trapped air bubbles, and burning away any dust. This creates that glass-like surface that makes the waves appear as if they're in motion.
Living Art
The final piece is sealed with a top coat that encapsulates the wave form and creates that glossy, reflective surface. Just like the sea itself, your piece evolves throughout the day - what appears serene at sunrise transforms into something completely different at sunset, inviting you to slow down and connect with the ocean's healing presence.
